Time magazine has published list heroes related to environment . Two Indians has got a chance to be there. One is Mr. D. P. Dobhal of Wadia Institute of Himalayan Geology and second number belongs to Mr. Jagdish Tanti of Suzlon Energy.
Today we talk about Mr. Jagdish Tanti. He is basically a cloth merchant. Who has got a cloth mill in Gujrath. Who has taken a degree in commerce and also done diploma in mechanical engineering. When he started his cloth business Gujrath had a shortage of electricity. He started researching for regular power supply. Then his research ended to wind power. He invested money in couple of wind turbines. And suddenly realizes a power of wind energy. He started his company and named as Suzlon Energy. Today this company is seventh biggest company in the world. Currently company has making a project of 1000MW. This is world’s highest wind energy plant.
In wind energy he has earned so much money that Mr. Tanti’s property costs nearly 37 billion dollars. All his property comes from wind power.
